Quinns V Swan Valley
Submitted by Adsy on Sun, 31/05/2009 - 13:37
Well after quite a few away games we returned to the Bull Ring yesterday at Ridgewood. The sun was shining, little too no breeze, a bumper crowd and the reserves run out at 12.30 with only one thing on there minds, a fast start.
The reserve Bulls did not dissapoint either with a solid 4 quarter display. Probably the best game the reserves have played this year, with G grade guys and colts pushing there way into the side and immediatly making an impact. A solid and polished 10 goal win with all the boys going hard from the first bounce. This takes the reserves side to 3 wins and 3 losses. Hopefully the boys can replicate there solid form next week against top of the reserves ladder Scarborough.
The league side ran out at 2.30 with the crowd getting bigger and a look of purpose etched on all faces. They did not dissapoint clearly beating Swan Valley in the first and second quarters. After the halftime break was a different story with the Swan Valley side taking it up to the Bullys. But in the end the Quinns Bulls side was far to strong and polished and won the game with a 3 or 4 goal lead.
Clearly a good day for Quinns supporters with 2 solid wins this takes the League side to 5 wins and 1 loss. With a Second v Last clash next weekend against Scarborough.
To cap of 2 first class wins we took the presentations to Gumblossom Hall in Quinns, and were treated to a great night of mouseracing and celibrating. A great day and night had by all.
Well a reminder to all to get back on the track as spots on all 4 sides a hard to retain. Lets see if we can replicate the clubs good form next week.
